The Forest Park Police Department’s Communications Division’s goal is to provide an efficient and reliable “Customer Service Orientated” environment. The responsibilities of the Communication Officers include dispatching of all Police, Fire and EMS personnel. In 1975 Forest Park was one of the first communities in the nation to institute 9-1-1. And today our dispatch center supports an enhanced 9-1-1 system. Forest Park was one of the first communities to have an advanced form of dispatching technology called Computer Aided Dispatch or CAD. Today our department continues to stay on the cutting edge of law enforcement technology with GPS mapping, CAD, enhanced 9-1-1, and much more.
